June 2010: Operational Risk & Regulation Discussion Paper

Our CEO, Loretta Wickenden, was part of a panel of industry experts convened by Operational Risk & Regulation to discuss why the concept of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) has been slow to gain traction in the industry.

The financial crisis demonstrated the value of having an enterprise view of the risks present in a financial services organization. Regulators and politicians, as demonstrated in one of the first regulatory reports to be released following the financial crisis from the Senior Supervisors Group, are united in their desire for all firms to have a risk management system in place that cuts across risk silos and business lines.
